Jade is a published singer & songwriter. As a solo artist she performs as JADE O and has released three commercial singles ALWAYS in 2022, SONG BIRD in Feb 23' and Desert Of The Heart alongside a music video made by Laura Sheeran. . She has collaborated with various artists & theatre makers as a vocalist. And toured extensively with Catherine Young Theatre Company. The company have performed both nationally & internationally including: The Jerusalem National Theatre and The Abbey, The Irish National Theatre. The shows include: “Welcoming The Stranger”, “State of Exception”, “A Call To You” & “Floating On A Dead Sea”.

She is a lead vocalist in WAKE by THISISPOPBABY and has just lent her voice to a new work by Artists Aisling Ní Cheallaig & Jenny Tufts on their film Ar Scáth Céile. Music composition by Aoife Kavanagh.

Double Bill Documentary & Live Performance

In 2017, Catherine Young took her dance company to Palestine to perform her critically acclaimed work Welcoming the Stranger. Compelled by what she encountered, Catherine returned to Palestine in 2019 with filmmaker Luca Truffarelli. Floating on a Dead Sea is inspired by these experiences - the feeling of being lifted and held by the generosity and kindness of a people,in a place where nothing is normal. A place where everyday life, dreams and aspirations are stifled, basic rights denied, and lives lived unfulfilled.

This autumn's tour presents a Floating on a Dead Sea Double Bill featuring a screening of Young and Truffarelli's documentary that places the body and movement at the heart of things and puts us in the footsteps of ordinary Palestinians, alongside a stunning live performance that interweaves dance, film, live music and text.
